When they hear that Florence, an older woman in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. February 11-20, 2022

Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:30pm

By Topher Payne

DIRECTOR: Jessica Stewart

PRODUCER: Katie Farmer

From the playwright and the production team that brought you Tokens of Affection, comes this razor-sharp play set in the Morningside neighborhood of Atlanta. Nine women have gathered for a baby shower at Grace Driscoll's beautifully appointed home, fully expecting to go through the motions of social niceties. But an unforeseen event in Grace's life and a few unexpected guests send the party careening into uncharted territory. Simmering resentment, cutthroat professional conflict, fierce battles of will. These are 21st century Southern women, and they have no interest in blessing your heart.

“A vibrant chamber piece… grounded with moving revelations, trenchant self-discoveries, drunken miscommunications, and, above all, a veritable symphony of the sort of clever and lyrical dialogue at which Mr. Payne excels. Topher Payne has once again proven that he is a contemporary master of creating roles for women, especially roles for women "of an age" usually ignored by Hollywood (and young playwrights).” - ATLANTA THEATRE BUZZ

March 10-13, 2022

Thursday, Friday, & Saturday at 7:30pm. Sunday at 2:30pm

By Duncan Macmillan, with Jonny Donahoe

Auditions January 3 & 4. 2022

You’re six years old. Mum’s in hospital. Dad says she’s “done something stupid.” She finds it hard to be happy. So you start to make a list of everything that’s brilliant about the world. Everything that’s worth living for. 1. Ice cream 2. Water fights 3. Staying up past your bedtime and being allowed to watch TV. You leave it on her pillow. You know she’s read it because she’s corrected your spelling. Soon, the list will take on a life of its own. A play about the lengths we will go to for those we love.

Please note: Though approached from a positive perspective, Every Brilliant Thing tackles mental health issues including depression and suicide. Recommended for ages 13+

“EVERY BRILLIANT THING finds a perfect balance between conveying the struggles of life, and celebrating all that is sweet in it.” —The Independent (London)
