Rome Little Theatre is committed to keeping our volunteers and patrons safe as we return to live performances.

  • For your comfort, this is a bring your own chair event (no canopy-style chairs, please). Umbrellas will not be allowed during the performance.

  • Masks are required for entry and must be worn at all times except while actively eating or drinking in your designated seat.

  • No outside props, drinks, or food allowed. Concessions, including a bar, will be open for this event and will be cash only. The Speakcheesy food truck will be on site also for the event.

  • Seating is assigned based upon when you purchased your tickets and the number of tickets in your order.  If you purchase more than one ticket, everyone in your ticket order will be seated together. Parties will be socially distanced. If you have mobility, visual, or audio needs, please let us know.

  • Patron parking, check-in, and seating will begin at 7:00PM.

  • This event is for patrons 18+. ID required.

  • Ticketing is contactless. Your name and ticket info will be on a guest list and you’ll check in with a house volunteer on arrival.

  • An outdoor performance provides plenty of fresh air and social distance. However, being outdoors comes with the added challenge of inclement weather. We will make every effort to perform the show as scheduled, but we may cancel if necessary (i.e. lightning, high wind, extreme temperatures, etc.) Our website will post real time updates if there are any changes or cancellations.

  • An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By attending a Rome Little Theatre event, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

  • If the show is cancelled due to inclement weather, or if there is another lockdown, we will make sure your money is protected by either issuing a credit for another RLT event, refunding your purchase amount, or you can choose to donate the purchase amount to RLT.

  • If you are ill or have Covid-19 symptoms in the days leading up to your visit we ask that you stay home. Contact us at (706)295-7171 or for a refund.

  • Refunds are available only if RLT cancels the event or if

Born of the American Little Theatre Movement, Rome Little Theatre is proud to be one of the oldest community theatres in the country.  From its founding in 1933 to its WWII hiatus and its 1956 revival, and from its residencies at the Gordon Theatre and the Maple Street Community Center to its current home at the Historic DeSoto Theatre, RLT is woven artfully into the rich, historical fabric of Rome, Georgia.

For decades, RLT has been committed to entertaining, engaging, and educating our community through the practice and promotion of the theatre arts. Our success is built on the generous contributions of generations of volunteers, donors, and patrons.

The mission of RLT is to present amateur theatrical productions, encourage interest in drama, and contribute to the cultural and educational life of the community. RLT is an active supporter of the Arts in Rome and Floyd County.
